I feel so safe even when I'm nervous/intimidated about going out on the water with Elevation, and really appreciate their emphasis on learning how to do all this safely. Karen had the best most fun supportive attitude and is such an incredible wealth of knowledge about this sport, I learned so much in every minute working with her!

I have been taking kiting lessons at elevation for a few years. But Only Three times a year. This year, I had a great improvement thanks to Karen’s excellent teaching and detailed explanations to let me know the reason behind each movement. Towards end I finally learned how to manage the kite and get up and ride every time I tried. My son also took four day lessons from Karen and also had great improvement. After two jetski lessons and two ride along lessons, at the end he became independent.

Elle m'a aidé à acquérir une compréhension approfondie du vent, des manœuvres, le tout grâce à une communication claire et concise. Par ailleurs, l'école s'est révélée tout aussi professionnelle, offrant un service à la clientèle compétent axé sur la bienveillance, ainsi que des équipements sûrs et performants.

Fantastic Instruction from Karen, she is very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient; being new to the sport I feel I learned a lot in my sessions with her. The location in La Ventana, Baja is fantastic and even though the beach and water are extremely busy I always felt safe and well looked after.

Karen est vraiment une instructeur incroyable, sa bonne humeur et sa passion pour le kite est vraiment contagieuse. Elle donne vraiment beaucoup d'infos et de techniques avant, pendant et après la pratique. Elle met beaucoup d'emphase sur la sécurité et insiste pour former des nouveau adepte responsable. Une fois dans l'eau, elle a vraiment respecter ma progression pour me faire avancer une étape à la fois. Je me suis retrouvé debout sur ma planche simplement en suivant ses consignes et sans trop m'en rendre compte. Les premières étapes sont quand même plus difficile qu'il n'y parait, mais Karen a su rendre ça faisable. Elle m'a tellement donnée de trucs à travailler que je suis en confiance pour partir de façon autonome. L'endroit était vraiment incroyable aussi. Beaucoup de bon rider, c'était impressionnant. I have incredible admiration for the team at Elevation. Their professionalism and dedication along with their patience and enthusiasm to making my kite boarding experience a life changing success. Karen, first and foremost is all about safety, and it’s extremely important to her that her students get it. We shared laughter , my f bombs and yes even tears of joy. Under Karen’s instruction I have gained the ability to handle tricky and sometimes scary situations with confidence. Robin, is pure positively at it’s finest and what a treat to have this incredibly skilled instructor who knows exactly what you need to tweak in order to improve, a few minutes into a session with Robin and he will have you blow your own mind. Pete and I had a wonderful session on a picture perfect day and he surprised me with a video that was so incredible my family was in disbelief that this 50 something, once terrified of the water woman is now a kiter chick… To Mary and Luce and the countless hours from behind the scene, making it all happen and to the entire Elevation Kiteboarding family , thank you, with much appreciation and love Tamera DiCarlo aka kiter chick

I was able to visit La Ventana for a week of kiteboarding lessons through Elevation and it was a great experience. I had a few instructors, all good, but Karen was excellent. She got me up on the last day for a short ride and was really patient and passionate. The wind died down and we got a bigger kite and waited it out and sure enough, we were able to get me up up and riding a little bit. I loved her enthusiasm and kindness.

Karen Lacombe is a fantastic instructor with a great sense of humor, endless patience, energy, and is an accomplished outdoorswoman/multisport guide. She has a way of giving you a little shove forward in your learning without you realizing it. She is creative and efficient with lesson time in terms of adapting to wind conditions or waiting for a shuttle. I was always learning something about self rescue, board position, etiquette and laughing lots during moments of downtime. I am tough to teach as I do not come with much water or board sport experience. She recognized when I needed to slow down or go back over how things work; quizzing me at times to make sure important info had stuck. I left feeling excited about continuing to learn the sport and hope Karen would take me again if I promise to LET GO;-) Thank you to Karen and Elevation Kiteboarding for the fantastic time and encouragement!

excellent enseignante, dynamique, souriante , et avec une expérience qui permet de bénéficier de nombreux conseils que ce soit en terme de glisse, sécurité, style, et débrouille !! je recommande les yeux fermés !!!

Karen - my instructor was a total professional. She is a great communicator and cares about safety related details. I had a blast refreshing my skills and trying new things. I couldn’t recommend her enough.
