Wade is a great instructor with excellent teaching skills and patience with the students. This location is great for beginners as it is shallow and gives you the added confidence of knowing you can touch bottom at any given time. I recommend this location and instructor to anyone interested in learning kiteboarding. Thank you Wade for the fun times and awesome experience.

Robby was my main instructor. With kindness, patient (lots!) and persistence he tranformed a 59 years old fearfull woman into a kiteborder. I cant say good things enough to describe his style of teaching...his focus on safety was prioroty thoughout the milhions hours of instructions that took me to get where I am....and that is big! Its a life style change! Thank you Robby!!

As a new resident to Miami I was anxious to complete my IKO around the family atmosphere at Matheson but that’s what actually helped me calm down. Everyone there from the staff to the locals were so welcoming and helpful. Once in the water with the kite in the air I knew this would be my every-windy-day spot to always feel welcomed and supported. Thank you!

Joseph prieto is an amazing instructor along with the whole team at adventure sports Miami. Everyone is more than happy to go that extra mile, to help you reach your goals. I highly recommend going down to the beautiful Matheson Hammock park in Coral Gables.

All I can say is that the team at Matheson Hammock is top notch. They care, are attentive, super safety conscious and want to see beginners break into a new and fantastic sport. I went from totally unable to a confident capable rider in a reasonable amount of time and much pleasure and no pain or frustration. A really great experience.

All of the kiteboarding instructors at Adventure Sports Miami (i.e., Joseph, Robby, Ken, Natalie, and Tom) are amazing. They are extremely patient and want you to be a better rider but also have fun at the same time. They would also offer me tips and tricks even when I was not during an official lesson with them. Everything I know about kiteboarding, I learned from these guys. I would highly recommend learning to kiteboard here.

down in the grove, in a nice park on the bay, is this outpost of kiteboarding enthusiasts. the conditions here are ideal to learn. the instructors are all knowledgeable, patient and passionate about the sport. instead of me spending years learning in the least efficient ways possible... i coulda learned here in just 2 days. this is flat water, and shallow, and protected. when you see the wind up, book here and get in the water as soon as you can !
