Freeride Tarifa

Olivier, Amaury, and Basti have been amazing teaching me how to perform my first rides with a variety of kites and wind types in Tarifa. Their patience really helped me build my confidence with the kite and also strong winds

I had my first kite surfing lessons in Tarifa and enjoyed it a lot! Although the wind was not super good 3at 3 of the 5 course days. The school had a great program that brought me to body dragging at day five. Looking forward to come back next year.

Freeride Tarifa is a great school, very chill and relaxed vibes, but they are also quite professional. They make sure you get the best experience in Tarifa and let you know about parties, the best spots to hang out, they all speak English quite well. I greatly recommend Cedric, my kite instructor. He has a very well structured approach, he feels when one is hesitant to do something and gives practical advices, a down to earth and cool guy!

Excellente 1ère expérience de kite avec Freeride. Le spot (tarifa) était par moment capricieux (pas de vent) mais ce fut un bonne initiation. Je suis très content d'être tombé sur un instructeur comme Cédric qui a été très patient avec mon groupe et qui a su s'adapter au rythme de chacun pour nous faire évoluer.

I had an amazing week with Freeride Tarifa, I learned so many things with Cedric, my instructor, he teaches very professionnally and give a lot of tips. I made a lot of new friends who were riding here, this place is so great.

Très bien encadré par l école et bonne organisation. Très efficace. Notre instructeur Cédric est juste excellent ! Pédagogue, sympathique, calme tout ce qu on demande d’un instructeur pour ce sport et surtout pour des débutants comme moi. 3 ème séjour kite chez l école Freeride Tarifa. Equipe toujours aussi pro. Mon dernier cours avec moniteur Cedric très pro. Bon conseils et capacité à me faire évoluer et progresser en toute sécurité.

J’ai passé une semaine à apprendre continuellement aux côtés d’instructeurs qualifiés! Quel plaisir de me sentir indépendante dans ce sport et de pratiquer de plus en plus de gestes techniques🤩

I did a 15-hour, 5-day semi private beginner course with Freeride Tarifa in April 2023. The instructor was Olivier, who was really nice. I was very happy with the course, which I felt was very professionally conducted. I especially liked the planned progression: we started on the beach learning basic kite control, progressing slowly to increasingly complex exercises while still on the beach. Next, we went to the water practicing some of the same exercises and then water-dragging. Unfortunately, we had two days with less wind, so in total I got about 11hours (the 4 hours were refunded), which meant I did not completely get onto the board. But overall, I felt I really learned a lot while maintaining control throughout (which is also necessary given the number of people kiting in Tarifa) - I will definitely recommend Freeride if you are serious about learning kite surfing, and not simple want to get on the board as fast as possible without proper kite control. The only thing I felt could have been a bit more clear was, that you had to arrange your own transport to the meeting spot.
