Lifestyle Kiteboarding

Everything about the course was fantastic - the location, the kite school and Joanna! She is very thorough, makes it very easy to understand and is constantly encouraging and feeding back so we can improve. We had a private lesson as a pair of different sizes/builds, but she did everything to accommodate this without it feeling like a burden. Most importantly, she clearly loves it and I definitely ended the lessons wanting to keep kitesurfing in the near future!

Joanna was an incredible instructor. She taught with patience and skill, making me feel safe to push my boundaries and enabling me to learn super fast. I highly recommend her and the Lifestyle kite boarding school!

I'm very happy I choose this kiteschool . Very professional and good atmosfere. The thing I appreciate most was my instructor. Joanna was patient, friendly and kind. She motivated me to work , I always felt safe and I had lots of fun learning with her. She gave me a lot of tips so that I can make faster progress and be a better kiter. J’ai adoré apprendre le kite avec Elise ! Les cours se passent dans la bonne humeur, les explications sont claires et Elise veille toujours à la sécurité de ses élèves. J’ai vraiment progressé grâce à tous ses conseils, je la recommanderais sans hésiter :)

Elise is an amazing teacher, all the instructions was very clear, I was able to progress quickly. She is really nice and calm (no stressing you when you are doing a mistake with the kite), always in a good mood and with a good sense of humor !

Elise n'a pas toujours cherché les options faciles ce qui fait que j'ai beaucoup appris dans ces cours ! Elle est SUPER pédagogue et cherche toujours à expliquer le problème, le pourquoi avant de donner la solution. La sécurité avant tout, c'était super rassurant ! Elise est également très encourageante. Bref, merci beaucoup !

I was visiting Holbox on a vacation with friends for 6 days and while walking the beach, I noticed kite boarders not too far from where I was. I walked over and started talking to some people about how I get started. Agus at Lifestyle Kiteboarding School told me that I could sign up for the course and get started with Joanna right away. Joanna was took me through the basics of kiteboarding and then we got down to business and she taught me how to get all set up for kiteboarding. We went over the basics on shore and then got into the water and learned more focused techniques. By the end of the the first day of instruction, I had a pretty good feel for the kite and how to control it so I signed up for another day of instruction. Not surprisingly, I signed up for a third day because I was hooked. Joanna’s clear instructions and wonderful teaching methods got me riding on the water and I was loving every minute of it. After three days of instruction, I’m certainly no expert, as I still have a lot to learn and a lot more practice; however, Joanna’s easy to understand instruction on the water got me further than I thought I would get in just a few hours each day. I look forward to practicing more now that I am home and I look forward to coming back to Holbox to Kiteboard again with more skill now that I have learned the basics from Joanna and Lifestyle Kiteboarding School.
