- The kitesurf and wingfoil school - For the past 10 years, the La Palmyre kitesurfing and wingfoil school has been a member of the very select circle of international kitesurfing instructor training centers (IKO: international kiteboarding organization). Founded in 2003, we are one of the leading kitesurfing schools in France, based at La Palmyre, one of the most beautiful spots on the Atlantic coast. On the Bonne Anse bay spot. Protected from the ocean waves for gentle learning in a safe environment. Located 15 minutes from Royan, Bonne Anse Bay offers a multitude of sandbanks, allowing you to find the ideal wind direction for each lesson. This allows us to support your progress in the best possible way. In fact, the different spots we take you to are untouched, so you'll have the impression of having the beach to yourself. Depending on wind and tide conditions, lessons can take place on the sandbank of the Cordouan lighthouse (20 min. boat ride from the port). Situated in the middle of the Gironde estuary, and a UNESCO World Heritage site, this is a trip in itself.

I had an amazing experience with the IKO training! The course was very well structured, the content was clear, and the instructors were super professional and passionate. I learned a lot, not only about teaching kitesurfing but also about safety, communication, and how to create a great learning environment for students. I now feel confident and ready to share my passion for kitesurfing as an instructor. Vincent has a great sense of pedagogy. we had a generational diversity and Vincent is a great facilitator and could manage all the group in a very friedly environement. we learnt a lot, not only the technical aspects but also the human interactions with the students. A l'instar de la semaine précédente, une grande clarté et une précision sur tout le contenu pédagogique jusqu'à la mise en situation réelle. De vraies corrections ont été transmises pour la pratique sur le vif et par la suite en debriefing ce qui m'a permis d'ajuster et de me créer les bons automatismes de sécurité et de pédagogie pour l'élève sur un spot de kite. Un apporfondissement notable a aussi été parcouru sur l'organisation d'un spot de kie, la connaissance et la réparation du matériel, théorie des vents, des marées courants et analyse des cartes météo et isobariques. Très satisfaite de cette formation.

Des conditions idéales pour comprendre les premiers enjeux de l'enseignement du kite. Un protocole très précis nous a été transmis sur la sécurité générale de la pratique de ce sport. Vincent a été extrêmement pédaguogue avec l'ensemble des stagiaires. Il nous a aussi beaucoup laissé la parole afin de confronter nos vues. Il restait également ouvert aux remarques que l'on pouvait faire sur tel ou tel sujet. Il a maintenanu une très bonne cohésion du groupe. Je retournerais sans hesiter le voir pour la formation de moniteur.
