Prima esperienza con il Kyte; la mia istruttrice, Anna, era veramente molto preparata e mi ha spiegato in maniera dettagliata come approcciarmi a questo sport. Sicuramente proverò altre lezioni per migliorare.

Während unseres Mauritius-Urlaubes habe ich meine ersten Schritte in Sachen Kitesurfen bei Airswitch Mauritius unternommen. Anna war dabei eine perfekte Lehrerin, die mit viel Ruhe, Lockerheit und sehr anfängerfreundlich vorgeht. Die beiden Tage haben bei mir jedenfalls dafür gesorgt, dass ich bei nächster Gelegenheit weitermachen werde. Ganz herzlichen Dank für die Unterstützung bei meinen ersten Kite-Schritten.

Great school and instructors with three great adjacent accommodation that varied based on age and what vibe you were looking for. Managed to arrange some last minute requests coming from our end, so also thumbs up for that. Will definitely recommend!

For many years I have wanted to take up Kite Surfing as a hobby, until I was gifted with the opportunity for my birthday at the end of 2019. Unfortunately I was let down on a two occasions by the lack of wind, which was communicated to us in good time prior to the lesson. On the day of the lesson, I was met by friendly and welcoming staff who informed me that there was currently a lack of wind and that I should return later once the wind had picked up. I was disappointed that the HighFive Team did not make an effort to keep me regularly updated/informed regarding the wind conditions as this resulted in having to go back and forth from the school with little to no information being provided regarding when the lesson might begin. I understand that the weather in Cape Town is unpredictable but considering the staff are professionals and Kite Surf on a regular/daily basis that they would be able to give a good indication of when the wind might or might not improve. We were also misinformed regarding the cost of a 4-hour lesson. We were told that a 4-hour lesson would cost R1,600 and would be the best option as an introduction to Kite Surfing. However. on the day we were informed that in fact we had only booked a 2-hour lesson despite having evidence of this WhatsApp chat. Nonetheless, the lesson was great! My instructor, Anna, took the time to explain all the concepts of Kite Surfing safety and the importance of wind direction and optimal kite surfing conditions. She was exceptionally patient as I initially struggled initially with kite control, but with her continuous advice and correction I was able to gain complete control and confidence in no time! I will most certainly be back for more lessons, hopefully with Anna so that I can soon be up and riding with confidence. Surfs Up!
