Crandon Park's is the Home of the Ericson Tennis Open. It's beautiful Three-mile long lagoon style beach, protected by 13 lifeguard towers is consistently named among the top ten beaches in the nation. Miami Kiteboarding School is operating the Kitesurfing Concession located on the North Entrance of the Park, by the nature center. Riding Conditions: September till May, with pick wind season from February to May. Good spot with North , NE, East, SE and South winds.= Accurate Ikitesurf wind meter on the spot . Kitesurfing Insurance required for private rider – temporary pass available at the school. Teaching under management of Miami Kiteboarding exclusively. Flat and shallow waters offer the perfect conditions for easy, comfortable and quick learning, as well as astonishing riding spot.

Although Nicolas was great, the French supremacy of the school is horrible. The prior trainer did not show, they took the money and they neveer returned. A few years later I wanted ti use the saved 4 hours and they said...NO, so I ha to paid again. It is just "a ripe off"

El curso de kite estuvo muy bien guiado y todos los instructores fueron excelente, especialmente Gustavo que me dio la mayoria de las clases. Mi primera clase fue de kite control, y le recomiendo a todo el mundo que esta empezando tener esta base y dedicar una clase al kite control y body dragging. Despues de esa clase, estuvimos navegando, aprendiendo a como posicionar las piernas y el cuerpo en la tabla, las transiciones, safety measures, etc. Gustavo fue muy atento con cada paso de mi curso y sabia muy bien lo que yo necesitaba cambiar para poder mejorar y obtener el certificado. Excelente academia! Gracias a todos! Una recomendacion seria que todo el mundo que ya este navegando lleve los radios en los cascos porque definitivamente son muy necesarios y ayudan mucho al estudiante.

Outstanding course with informative theory on kiting, weather and oceanography. Practical hands on learning of repairs, equipment management, and teaching instruction. Highly organized materials and processes to ensure consistent standards and best practices. Strongly recommend Steve for his knowledge, experience, teaching style, people skills, and positive approach to teaching kiteboarding and instruction.

Firendly set-up. Motivated instructors go the extra mile to get you going. Effort was made to accomodate personal schedule. Solid safety standards. Winds @ Crandon Park challanging at times. However, even with on-shore winds training continued with the support of jet skies. Shallow waters couple of 100 feet out with no waves turning this into an ideal spot. Board training (pulling behind motorboard) very useful to get those waterstarts done. Overall a very positiv experience. A bit costy maybe. Booking can only be done after purchasing a package (valid for 1 year). Refund however is offered in case winds are not favorable. Got certified to 3J after 10 hours.

Pienso que el curso de ATC es muy bueno para un entry level Kiter Que quiere empezar a enseñar. En mi caso personal que te go mucha experiencia senti que era una perdida de mi tiempo. Seria muy conveniente que IKO tuviese algún examen para verificar los conocimientos de una persona sin que tuviese que hacer todas las horas del curso si ya tiene los conocimientos. Simplemente mi opinión personal.
