I'm currently taking kiteboarding lessons with SoCal, and it's been a fantastic experience. The instructors are not only highly knowledgeable and professional, but also incredibly kind and friendly. They truly care about safety and make sure every step of the learning process is clear and encouraging. I’ve seen great progress and always feel supported out on the water.

Bart runs the best school at SoCal Kitesurfing and his instructors are amazing. Sage has been so patient with me and my nerves being out on the water but she coached me through it and I was able to get up and ride! I can’t wait to keep growing in this sport and learning from Bart and his team!

I enjoyed my course today. It was very informative. I wish there was more time in the water, but I understand that kite control is really important and am happy my instructor emphasized the skills to build my confidence in kite management.

Sage is a very talented kiter herself and has a passion both for the sport and for teaching. I booked my first foil lesson with Sage through SoCal Kitesurfing. I know how steep the learning curve for foiling is, so I went into the lesson with low expectations for success. To my surprise, I was water starting and consistently riding more than 30 yards after 2 hours. This was largely thanks to Sage’s instruction and her effort to maximize my practice time. Whether I needed help relaunching, retrieving the board, or getting back upwind, Sage wasted no time wading out to assist. This helped me focus on applying her clear and constant advice to my water starts and first steps with the foil. The gear selection was spot on for my skill level and the conditions. Looking forward to a taller mast next time!

They were incredibly flexible and understanding of wind conditions to provide the best possible experience. I was able to learn fundamentals outside the water and finished off with a successful few rides on water. I’m excited to continue learning from this school and plan to get equipment soon.

Had some frustrating moments such as getting separated from the board repeatedly but got some excellent practice in and a lot of good instruction. At the end Bart gave me some extra time and a bigger board and I got a decent ride. Stoked to go back.

Had a great kite-surfing lesson today! Our small group of three got plenty of practice time, even with the intermittent wind. We tried multiple kites, which really helped us adapt, and the spacious location meant no worries about crashing into anyone. Watching experienced kitesurfers in action behind us was super motivating! The instructor was fun, clear, and pedagogic—I felt like I truly got to put theory into practice. Plus, learning under the sun made it even better. Awesome place to learn!
