J’ai passé une semaine à apprendre continuellement aux côtés d’instructeurs qualifiés! Quel plaisir de me sentir indépendante dans ce sport et de pratiquer de plus en plus de gestes techniques🤩

I did a 15-hour, 5-day semi private beginner course with Freeride Tarifa in April 2023. The instructor was Olivier, who was really nice. I was very happy with the course, which I felt was very professionally conducted. I especially liked the planned progression: we started on the beach learning basic kite control, progressing slowly to increasingly complex exercises while still on the beach. Next, we went to the water practicing some of the same exercises and then water-dragging. Unfortunately, we had two days with less wind, so in total I got about 11hours (the 4 hours were refunded), which meant I did not completely get onto the board. But overall, I felt I really learned a lot while maintaining control throughout (which is also necessary given the number of people kiting in Tarifa) - I will definitely recommend Freeride if you are serious about learning kite surfing, and not simple want to get on the board as fast as possible without proper kite control. The only thing I felt could have been a bit more clear was, that you had to arrange your own transport to the meeting spot.

Une semaine au top. Communication simple et rapide avec l'école lors de la réservation. Les messages sont envoyés le soir pour le lendemain pour les RDV avec point GPS - clair, simple et efficace. Les cours sont très Pro, les règles de securité bien transmise pour une apprentissage sérieux et complet tout ça accompagné d'une bonne dose de bonne humeur. Les instructeurs sont super pédagogue et passionnés. Tout est top!

I spent a few days with Freeride Tarifa during July. I found the instructors to be very competent and safety orriented, yet very easy going and capable of explaining concepts in way easy to understand.

I started with my first Kite Surfing experience in Tarifa and succeeded level two within one week only. This thanks to excellent teaching with Freeride. We progressed quickly every day a d Oli was always patient enough to wait for the best Wind conditions. And there was always enough practicing time with the necessary theoretical input.

Ce fut une première expérience kitesurf juste inoubliable ! Vanessa est vraiment hyper organisée de A à Z. Un service quasi clés en mains. De plus elle possède une parfaite connaissance des lieux. Elle saura vous conseiller sans problème sur les restau, les activités, etc … avec une impressionnante réactivité :) Pas de vent … aucun problème, il y’a tellement de choses à faire sur Tarifa est ses alentours ! ;) Relativement au cours, vous pourrez apprécier la rigueur et le professionnalisme ainsi que la patience des coachs ! On se sent vraiment en sécurité durant tout le stage. Personnellement j’ai eu la chance et l’opportunité d’en profiter jusqu’au dernier moment avec une session clap de fin au couchant … juste magique. Je ne peux donc que vous recommander de vous faire former par Vanessa, Olivier et son équipe ! Des pros ! En plus … super sympas :-) Bref j’ai déjà envie d’y retourner :-))

Pour avoir les bonnes bases en kite et les bon réflexes sécurité il faut être chez Vanessa de chez freeride Tarifa. De plus les cours avec le talkie-walkie sont une réelle plus-value pour perdre moins de temps et apprendre plus vite!

Olivier is the greatest Kite instructor I could have imagined. With his years of experience he knows exactly how to each every student to learn kiting super well, safe and quick. In the beginning it might seem a bit frustrating to start practicing on the beach and then budydragging. But in the water you will feel the true value of every exercise that you did. And in the end the exercises will have safed you a lot of time in the water by letting you drive instead of organising the kite. Also the mentality is to be acknowledged. Always calm and with a smile on the face. Thanks a lot to the Freeride kite school for the amzing experience. I love it and will be back. Cheers!
