The Active Bol is located at Camp Aloa in Bol, Croatia, the best place on the Adriatic coast for kiteboarding. Thanks to it's reliable and stable mistral wind, Bol is the perfect place to learn kiteboarding. The wind grandually picks up through the day, making it ideal for beginners in the morning and experts in the afternoon. We have a wide range of kiteboarding courses and private lessons available, or if you are already proficient, you can just hire equipment. If you have never tried Kiteboarding before, all of our classes are run according to IKO standards with an IKO licensed instructor. The classes are fun and under their guidance, you will be amazed at how quickly you progress.

A really great course experience overall. Tom is a great instructor who is keen on pushing you to learn from your own mistakes. This is no "pay and get your cert" spot. You learn detailed theory, savety, kite and board control in a well planned successive manner. Most students have all the basics ready after 4 days due to very good coaching and equipment.

Great teaching skills, knows exactly what advice u need to improve and make the next steps and has always good mood and communication and also makes sure you are always safe. I was almost ready to go out on my own but was concerned about not making it back upwind. I chose to have an instructor watch over me (along with three other pretty new kiters. He came by every now and then in the boat to give me pointers and picked me up safely way down wind where I ended up. Thank you.

I came to Bol having no experience kite surfing and came out knowing how to ride, and most importantly how to be safe. I was taught an hour and a half on a beach the basics about setting up a kite and understandings of the wind. We then started practicing on the water without a board left right movements, body drags left and right, power dives. Second day on the water, 2 students and myself started with the board and were able to ride. The following days were just about improving. Tom kept giving us amazing advices and followed us with a small boat to make sure we kept going upwind, or to shout tips about our position on the board. Tom is a fantastic teacher.

Tomislav is a very professional and patient teacher. We started from the theory and ended with the practice. Body drag, Power dives, Kite control, Kite position in the air, Kite behavior, how to position your body on the board, safety procedures, up-wind, down-wind,... everything was explained. What I liked the most is the small group sessions I had. We were 4 on a boat (including Tom) so it makes it a lot easier and fast learning. It was really NOT an « industrial » Kite School you could find somewhere else. I started beginner who never touched a Kite before and 4 days after I ended with a 3min in a row ride. I strongly recommend that guy !
