Lawrence Fansa

I had my 1st 4 hour lesson with Lawrence which was really informative and covered numerous safety matters initially and during the progress of the lesson. The 1st lesson covered kite and personal preparation, safety releases, launching/grounding safely followed by numerous in sea exercises such as flight in and out of the wind window, figure of 8's for power gain and using the kite for sea dragging exercises, Over the 4 hours the information was always explained clearly and in a way that was easy to understand as a beginner. Highly recommend.

I had a great lesson with Lawrence on the Welsh coast. Lawrence was extremely thorough, methodical and patient, and I learned a lot not only in the kitesurfing itself but in setting up and managing the equipment. I also found Lawrence was really clear in communication before the lesson to make sure I knew what was going on with the weather conditions and whether the lesson was going ahead. Thanks again, Lawrence!

An EXCELLENT lesson, I really felt looked after, Lawrence was patient and I could see he was very tactful in assessing me and helping me un-learn bad habits - really excellent standard, and completely worth every penny. This for me was a top up lesson, but I would actively encourage any new to the sport, go to Lawrence - words are not enough, the quality and his friendly nature were absolutely 110%

Lawrence firstly is a super nice guy, with real passion for kite boarding, the environment it happens in and ultimately teaching and introducing new people to the sport. It was definitely the right balance of going at a pace that was comfortable for you with the encouragement to progress quickly once he could see you were safe and in control. Highly recommended and will definitely be back once I can find the time for the next session!

Lawrence was an excellent teacher. He was thorough and patient and took account of my previous experience such that we made quick progression. He covered all aspects of the sport, from site selection, gear choice and set up, to safety and on to the technical aspects of flying and riding. He gave me everything that I needed from the session, which was the confidence to go and buy the right equipment and get started spending some time in the water on my own. I would be happy to recommend Lawrence to anyone looking to learn the sport, and I will definitely use him again as I progress in the sport.

Lawrence was a fantastic instructor. He has a love of the sport and demonstrated that throughout the lesson. He was very patient throughout and helped build my confidence (which enabled me to progress quickly during the lesson). Safety was paramount and I learnt a lot about reading conditions and understanding the importance of looking at the surroundings prior to any kiting. I would highly recommend Lawrence as an instructor. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a vast amount of enthusiasm. I will make sure I go back for another lesson with him. Lawrence has also been able to provide advice and guidance on buying my own kit which has been very helpful (as I wouldn't have known where to start!) He made sure I brought the right kit for what I wanted to achieve in the sport.

Thanks to Lawrence, I’m now a successful amateur rather than frustrated newbie! Loz is so patient and instils confidence so that my time on the water is now a continuous learning experience rather than a series of dampening failures. Just wish I had more tuition at the beginning! Thanks Lawrence.

Good communication leading up to a lesson that was well structured, informative and pitch at a level appropriate to my abilities. Lawrence is very comfortable in his teaching with instructions and explanations eloquently communicated, providing confidence to the pupil that he clearly has the necessary experience and knowledge to teach the course. I rated the facilities as a 4 but this has more to do with the location than the actual course. In all a very enjoyable and fun lesson that was well taught and has me wanting more..

I spent nearly 9 hours with Lawrence and at all times found him to be friendly, knowledgable and very professional. We covered pretty anything and everything the budding kitesurfer might need to know and Lawrence tested along the way to see that most of it was sinking (sic) in. I can wholeheartedly recommend Lawrence and will be back for more lessons once I've got the basics nailed. I now have a healthy respect for the sport instead of fear and a great enthusiasm to get good, ASAP.
