Thalib is a great instructor. He was calm, patient and his instructions were clear. He also paid very good attention to safety. We did a lot more than I expected in the relatively short time. By the end, I was able to control the kite, launch and land the kite, body drag and even stand on the board for multiple meters. Absolutely amazing lesson!

At first I found the kite lessons to be frustrating due to my inexperience with the sport and inability to control the kite. But my teachers were very helpful and especially patient to get me to enjoy the sport more and give it time. Now I am able to ride the waves and found motivation to learn more in the future!

We went out multiple days and the wind was not that strong but good enough to get some good riding in. The instructions were really good, motivational and really patient with me and my girlfriend. At the end of the lessons I am confident in riding and starting and ending a kite session. I feel confident in renting when I get home to the netherlands. Special thanks again to my instructor, I can recommend him to any one who wants to learn how to kite!

As a newbee I had a really good experience learning kitesurfing at Upepo Kitesurfing in Jambiani. My instructor Thalib spoke very good English and was a skillful and very patient teacher. He also had a great sense of humor making it a lot of fun. There was a lot of focus on safety and the equipment was in very good condition. Further more is Jambiani a great place to learn how to kitesurf since it is not as crowded as Paje where there are many kites in the air.

We had some wel instructed lessons, from real good instructor(Talib). Good materials, and awesome support(Jason). Can only speak good about these guys, and the rest of the team of course, had a great time, thnx for all ! ✌️

Definitely would recommend to sign up for a package of 6H with Hakuna Matata Kitesurfing school to kickstart an amazing chance to learn to kitesurf in a safe and fun way on Zanzibar island in the cozy tropical town of Paje and its beautiful beaches! I was happy to be one of the students here and felt very safe and empowered in the process to continue steps in the levels. Very excited to have covered theory & practice and learn more by doing. I cannot wait to go kiting again. Thanks again for the trust and fun and being the best coach in the water!

Had an amazing experience at KiteN’Surf Zanzibar! Thalib is an incredible instructor—patient, knowledgeable, and super encouraging. He made learning fun and easy, and I progressed much faster than expected. Highly recommend this school and especially Thalib! Can’t wait to come back!

Finally after 6 years ago seeing kite surfing in Paje my dream came true. The school and teachers are very friendly, professional with good equipment depending on your level. Safety is priority and I had great fun. I will be coming back and build on my experience for sure.
