Anna Culubret

I had the chance to learn kitesurfing with Anna this summer, and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. She is patient, clear in her explanations, and knows exactly how to adapt her teaching to your level. Thanks to her guidance, I progressed way faster than I ever imagined. Highly recommended!

Kite surfing is something I have wanted to try for a while, and thanks to Anna, its something I want to continue to learn. She knows just when to push and when to let you figure it out on your own, and she teaches not only from experience, but from an actual love for the sport.

Anna worked with me for 8 days. As a beginner, I enjoyed her instruction and progression. She was excellent at helping me correct poor technique. By day 8 I was independent (kiting without instruction). Margarita Kite at Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka was a great facility.

I had my first kitesurfing experience at another school at the beginning of the year. So I had my remaining lessons with Anna in order to be able to learn and practise independently on the water. So we mainly practiced up wind riding, but we also improved all other small or bigger skills. I felt super safe with her. She knew exactly where and when I needed help or support of her Voice in the walki talki and after 3 hours I was ready to go on my one. Looking back, I would have loved to have done all my lessons with her. She is a brilliant teacher.

Anna was amazing throughout the course. She was accommodating and efficient with her advice, always giving me good pointers that allowed me to go from barely managing a water start to going upwind. The equipment we used was in great condition, and she always ensured that I and the people around me were safe. I can't recommend her enough!

I did as many hours as I could with Anna in Santa Maria, Sal. She is an exceptionally good teacher. Very calm, very clear, very insightful. I’ve used a few different teachers since learning to kitesurf. Anna was one of the best. The school (Santa kite school) was great. Top kit, transport, good value. I strongly recommend Anna and Santa Kite school.

È stata la mia prima esperienza con il Kite e sono felice di averla fatta con Anna. Anna é un'istruttrice molto capace e preparata ed è una persona magnifica, gentile e carismatica. Ha saputo spiegare tutto nel minimo dettaglio trasmettendomi pace e aiutandomi a migliorare minuto dopo minuto, trovando la tecnica più adatta alle mie esigenze. Si nota che ama il suo lavoro e il mondo del Kite e ha saputo trasmettermi la sua passione. Sono felice di aver avuto la possibilità di imparare con lei.

This was actually the third time I try to start with kiting. I come from scuba diving where everyone is super extrovert, as am I. However when approaching a kite school everyone is introvert. I was better prepared for this this time. If you need long deep conversations kiting isn’t for you it seems. But everything here worked flawlessly. I had some bad luck with weather and a cold but never any problems to reschedule. I was amazed by how good instructions I got and also that the plans seamlessly adapted to how quick I developed. Took 3 hours until we practiced starting with the board. When I saw some other ways of instructing on the beach I was very happy with my instructor. Calm and confident no matter how hard I had to put it into action. Calm consistent friendly and encouraging.

Anna is a very patient and professional teacher. I always felt safe during our lessons. She had a great way of seeing the level of progression and adapting the content of each lesson accordingly. Last but not least, good attitude and good vibes only. Highly recommend! /JS

I did 4 sessions (2h each) at the Atlantic Star in Santa Maria (Sal) Cabo Verde. Anna was my instructor throughout these sessions. I had no previous experience but with Anna's guidance and teaching I managed to progress quickly. The first session was only kite control on land, with useful exercises and all required theory input. From the second session onward we completed exercises in the water ensuring a fast progression. Anna was instructing via a radio set which proved to be very useful as I could develop my skills in the water while receiving the required instructions. I can absolutely recommend Anna as an instructor!
