I had an amazing experience learning kitesurfing with Stefano as my instructor. From the very beginning he was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made me feel comfortable right away. His explanations were clear and easy to follow, and he always made sure I understood each step before moving on. What stood out most was his focus on safety – he created a calm and secure environment that allowed me to progress with confidence. Stefano combines professionalism with a great sense of encouragement, making the lessons not only effective but also a lot of fun. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn kitesurfing in a safe, enjoyable and professional way!

I had the incredible opportunity to take 20 kitesurfing lessons with Stefano in Óbidos, Portugal, and I can confidently say he’s one of the best instructors I’ve ever met. From the very first session, his passion for the sport and his deep knowledge were clear. Stefano strikes the perfect balance between technical guidance and a relaxed, supportive vibe. Each lesson was personalized and thoughtfully structured—he always adapted to my pace, the wind, and my needs that day. Thanks to his patience and clear explanations, I progressed much faster than I expected and now feel confident riding on my own. On top of all that, Stefano is just a great guy to be around—calm, positive, and encouraging. I can’t recommend him enough to anyone looking to learn or improve their kitesurfing. I had the absolute pleasure of learning kiteboarding with Stefano at Kite Control, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with my experience! Over the course of 10 days as a complete beginner, Stefano's clear, structured, and professional teaching style transformed my kiteboarding skills beyond what I thought possible. Whether explaining theory on the beach or coaching me out on the water via radio, Stefano made every session both productive and fun. His motivational approach pushed me to new levels, and I always felt supported. Learning with Stefano has been incredibly rewarding, and I can’t wait to continue my kiteboarding journey! My son and I spent a few days at Obidos lagoon with Kite Control. It’s a stunning, unspoilt site with two spots for learning. Flat water is the theme and a welcome contrast to the choppy South coast of England. My instructor Stefano taught me to kite upwind and transitions, at the same time boosting my confidence on the water. The school set up was thoroughly professional but also friendly and focused on the clients. We are already planning our return.

Stefano did an excellent job training & coaching me - from a professional and personal viewpoint. Learning how to kite is literally a lot of falling down and getting back up, Stefano always had my back and throughout my enthusiasm on kiting increased and he is responsible for that! 10/10 - awesome!

The area is great for beginning kiters. The instructors are very good! Good theoretical knowledge and explenation combined with good practical excercises to learn what you want as quickly and safe as possible. And great atmosphere at the school :-)

I highly recommend Stefano and Kite Control in Portugal. Stefano is very knowledgeable, an excellent communicator, encouraging, made me feel safe and is a lot of fun - an excellent experience. I can also recommend Kite Control’s owner Francois. We progressed step by step from one skill to another with ease. The Óbidos Lagoon is beginner friendly. If you are looking to Kite Surf but not sure contact Kite Control and get started - it is not just kite surfing but an extended community of friends..

It was my first kite experience and I can highly recommend Obidos (Kite Control) as a place with brilliant conditions for beginners. Stefano was an excellent kite instructor! He was very motivating, positive and encouraging to find the confidence to push oneself to move forward. I am very grateful how far I was able to proceed within one week thanks to him and am looking forward to my next kite surf holidays.
